and put it in the right place? Remember.. all the low speed kit does is attempt to draw air from the passenger side intake. Stock idle system draws from the driver side. The trick is to make sure that the SAME amount of air now gets drawn from both. If the amount is not the same you will either run to rich or lean at idle because of the way the ECU now doubles the MAF voltage reading.
The stock idle circuit draws from the driver side turbo outlet pipe through a 5/8 I.D. barb. When you tap the passenger side with the fitting JWT gave you, you are restricted down to the 3/8" fitting. Hence the driver side will still be able to draw more air (bigger path). Use the restrictor on the driver side to choke it down to the same as your newly tapped passenger side. I've even seen one guy replace the restrictor JWT sends with a adjustable ball valve so he could really fine tune it and get the idle where he wanted.
